I guess I must have been having fun since it has been a little while since I last updated!
SO. Here is a quick overview of what’s happened with paperbacklife since July.
My Christmas Card Class vol 1 went really well on August 14th. We raised $75 for my marathon with Lace up for Liver in Jamaica this December and made some pretty cards to send to family and friends this holiday season! I did not take many photos of the ladies crafting, as I was making some cards myself and was in crafter headspace, not photographer headspace. Next time I will try to get some Works In Progress!
I also have a second class in the works as well, coming up in September 25th. This class is a little different, to help encourage all crafters to get involved. There will be no set number of cards to make; I will have all the supplies for a variety of cards and then it is up to you how you want to proceed. You can make a dozen cute but simple cards or 4 highly embellished ultra personalized cards. And all proceeds will go towards the Lace up for Liver campaign. You can RSVP here if you haven’t already.
Other than those classes, I honestly haven’t had a lot of time for much else between the day job and all of the photo editing I’ve had lately. (you can see some of my work here).
In a few weeks the work will (hopefully) settle down and allow for some more craft time and more posting of said craft time. Until then, it’s back to the coffee and editing.
I’m getting ready to cross something off my bucket list!
A marathon is something that has always been on my bucket list, but I was never sure where to start with training and I always had an excuse as to why I didn’t have time.
Well, I’ve officially registered to participate in the Lace up for Liver marathon in Negril, Jamaica on December 7th, 2013. So now it’s time to put my money where my mouth is….or should I say, put your money where my mouth is.
Between my husband and I we need to raise $9000 for the Canadian Liver Foundation in order to get to Jamaica. If we don’t reach our goal all funds will still go to the CLF, but we just won’t go to Jamaica.
Can you please help me end liver disease with a little trip to Jamaica?
I know I said I would be photographing and posting items soon, and I will be! I just need to sort out what I am taking to the market on June 15th and what will be for the soon to open Etsy shop…once I find a time to make some decisions the photos will be posted! I hope you will be as excited about these new ideas as I am!
